The eLearning package that OneSmallStep offers, is designed to support learners to develop an understanding of public health and how asking and listening to people is everyone’s role.
Making Every Contact Count (MECC)
MECC is an approach that is used in millions of day to day interactions that organisations and individuals have with people to support them in making positive changes to their physical and mental health and wellbeing.
Rather than telling people what to do, Making Every Contact Count is about recognising opportunities to talk to people about their wellbeing using the skills of asking and listening.
The e-Learning
Package
This four module e-learning package is intended for anyone who has contact with people to make every contact count and develop public health knowledge and to gain understanding and practical skills.
The modules include:
- Introduction to making every contact count
- Introduction to skills
- Introduction to lifestyle topics
- Information, signposting and your organisation

Accessing smoking cessation skills courses
The level one and two smoking cessation skills training course is open to healthcare professionals, and those who wish to offer a smoking cessation service within their organisation.
